Vada M. Pelot

Vada M. Pelot, 83, of Tamaroa, passed away at 3:45 P.M., Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Vada was a homemaker.  She had worked at Iowa National Insurance as a secretary for ten years and also as a secretary for Dr. Mathis.  She was a member of Friendship Church of Christ in Tamaroa.  She was a former leader of Girl Scouts of America and a member of Eastern Star for many years.
She was born October 25, 1919 at Little Rock, AR, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Edith (Humphries) Martin.
She married Bernard C. Pelot on May 17, 1941 at St. Louis, MO and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, three daughters - Connie Cross and husband John of Florissant, MO, Vada J. Pikey and husband David of Hillsboro, MO, and Judy McGuire and husband Joe of Kansas City, MO, one son - Bernie Pelot of Ironton, MO, one sister - Vivian Henderson of Perryville, MO, twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were at Noon, Friday, October 17, 2003 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Darrell McCombs officiating.
Friends called from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Interment was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
